I'd like it if someone could test a similar setup and seeing if they experience problems as well. Is this just the game being unoptimized, and/or systems causing issues? And the most dire question of all: will this affect Uomoz's Sector? just add it after the rest of your items, now however you need to change 2 things in these here lines befor saving or. Take a region pic where the ship is, make sure its symmetrical. Search for the screenshot in the game files' screenshot file (usually 'Starsector's installation location/screenshots') 3. search and find in the document. Then add the item, for example, Alpha Cores. Take an ingame screenshot with Print Screen or another button the command is bound to, while the camera is locked on the ship with T. So, I ask you: is this just to be expected, and I have too many mods? Could any one of the mods be responsible for slow down, memory problems or save bloat? (My save file is 175 mb, I don't think that's standard). Adding items is easy, just do the same as for editing supplies. However, none of them added systems (obviously), where I now have many of them. But I did play UC, which added lots of factions. After installing the RC19 it worked for a short time (3 saves) but now it's back to the afore mentioned times. At first it sits at the backup for like 20-30 seconds and then another 10-20 seconds for the actual safe. Basically every time you save, the game moves the previous save to. Ever since I installed 0.8 saving takes reaaaaly long. Now, I never tried so many mods myself in. Both of those look corrupted, but you should be able to get the previous version of the save to load by removing them and removing the. It gets so bad during a game that it will simply fail to load the save game and I have to restart Starsector. A couple more notes: 1) If, once the game finishes loading, loading up a save doesn't take longer than normal, that would support the 'something wrong with graphics card/drivers' theory. Thanks for the additional info, hope the graphics drivers are the culprit. But after a while, the time it takes to save or load a game takes ages. Along with increasing your RAM allocation via the vmparams file in your Starsector folder, another cause may simply be playing the game too long. Re: Starsector takes an unbearably long time to load.
